Assisted Living
Senior
adults enjoy their independence and the freedoms associated with
a carefree lifestyle. But as the years progress, physical, social
and psychological changes may occur that require some assistance
with activities of daily living.
At King-Bruwaert House, we offer several levels of assisted living
to meet our residents' needs. At the most independent level, residents
enjoy the comforts of a lovely room or two-room suite that overlooks
our beautiful grounds. Private baths feature pull cords for emergency
assistance and safety bars for easy mobility and balance. We encourage
residents to bring in their own furnishings, pictures and accessories
and decorate their rooms with colors they find pleasing or compatible
with their cherished belongings. Each room becomes a "home
within our home" for rest, relaxation and enjoyment.
Our
Executive Chef prepares three delicious daily meals: breakfast,
dinner and supper. Residents may request a deluxe breakfast of choice
or opt for a smaller meal, depending on their morning appetite.
For dinner, residents choose from two choices for appetizer, main
entree, potatoes, vegetables and dessert. Our chef and staff prepare
and serve nutritious meals while also monitoring dietary restrictions.
Daily activities highlight weekdays and weekends. Our creative
team of Activity Aides lead exercise classes, games, news discussions,
book reviews, arts, crafts, woodworking, painting and ceramics classes,
horticultural activities, lawn bowling, ice cream and cocktail socials,
movies, cooking and entertainment programs.
For
those who can't drive, we provide daily transportation to local
shopping areas. Residents may sign up 24 hours in advance for trips
to the doctor, dentist, library, post office or to shopping centers
or places of interest within an 8-mile radius.
For our residents' convenience, our staff handles weekly housekeeping,
personal laundry and medication administration. Assistance with
bathing, grooming and other personal care services.
